6x6 on craigslist

I know I will regret this indiscretion. I should not be posting a craigslist link on my eBay Motors blog...but there is an actual relationship there so maybe it's OK. In any event, the truck was just too compelling to keep to myself. Reruns of MASH, a fifth of vodka and all you need is a little Hot Lips Hoolihan!
Yer not from 'round here are you?

It's ugly, boring, expensive and probably handles like shit. But we want it anyway, because it is an anomaly. That's the way it is with car people - we always want what we can't have. In this case (through a state and local comedy of errors) we can have it, but nobody was drunk enough to pay $15 to be the only guy in the country with a 2002 PEUGEOT.

Porsche 997 in MEXICO BLUE

If I had a political movement this would be it. Bring back old school '69-'76 Porsche colors on more 997s. Forget the 5 shades of gray they are issued in. Do up a Paint-to-sample in an otherwise-vile hue that just melts over those voluptuous hips. Loaded a side shot here so that you can see how sweet the yellow calipers looks against this backdrop. Damn.

Pro Street Chevy Vega
(hey, it's my blog, and I can post if I want to.)
Plain-looking '49 Crosley
Man, there are so many Crosley's on eBay these days, you would think they are common or something.
OK, it' snot a wagon, it's an ex-USAF delivery van, but it's the closest thing I could find to a Divco milk truck.

If you had $5000 to spend in eBay's die-cast car model area...
42 Old-school (redline) Hot Wheels cars new in the blisterpack for $5500!
One Olds '442 Hot Wheels car for $5655! (I just now that my little cousin had one)
Outbid on that one? Oh, that's OK. Here's one in a better color scheme for $5100!
Old enough to know that a 'tether car' has nothing to do with Napoleon Dynamite's "skills"?
Or maybe you just like to play in the dirt. CAT Scraper also over $5000!
(and you thought your habits were expensive)

Top on anyone's list of collectible vehicles:
The green 1976 Datsun pick-up with Chevy 350 V-8 and John Deere airbrushed murals!
Or for the "purist" a well-restored original green '76 Datusn pick-up.
Buy both and wear them as mobile mood rings!

How do you
base a '31 Alfa Romeo replica on a Beetle? Is this not like wearing underwear on your head?
The 3/4 scale, Topolino-based Ferrari 500 F1 replica is a a much better idea.

Sell your house

And everything esle, and maybe you can muster $530k to bid on this car. But then DOH!, it's not enough dough for a Ferrari 275 GTB.
Slightly less ugly...
with the top down. But I still don't know why people wanted Avantis enough for 40 years of production.

Heinous car bodies grafted onto 4X4 truck chassis
When Larry, Darryl and Darryl have just enough "skills" to be dangerous...they make one of these things. I really want some feedback here. I think we can "own" this category of car if we can come up with a good name for it. You can see that these auction posters realy didn't know what to call their concoctions.
70 Lincoln
'80 Cutlass Supreme
When we see these, we all know what they are, but there is no word for the category, like "dune buggy" or "active lifestyle crossover" vehicle. I have seen "frankenstein" and "Monster Truck" tried, but I think both of these are lacking. What should we call these things?
